Well, if you have, CONGRATS! I'm so happy that you know some of my fav people! If you don't have a clue, they're poets. But, not any poets...my FAV poets! I'm a poem fanatic, and not just in the reading sense, but also in the writing sense, too. Of course I'm extremely self-conscious with it, but it's a great way to vent your feelings or just have something to do. The poem that I believe is the best has to be:
Nothing Gold Can Stay
by Robert Frost
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
This is so down to Earth and explains how nothing good in life can ever stay forever. It also makes me a bit sad because it reminds me of people I've lost. But, if you think about it, when one good thing is gone another is coming just around corner. That's one aspect Frost didn't put into this poem. I have decided to put one of my poems into the post. Oh, and now my Mom decided to make this a challenge, joy.(Dripping with sarcasm) I can only use thirteen of my words!Well, here goes!
Thirteen Words for Night and Day:
Diamond speckled silk of midnight envelopes the molten rays of day with silence
