Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas - welcome to the December 24th Edition of the Review Bloggers Carnival!
It's no secret. I like getting stuff. I like writing about the stuff that we like and perhaps make my family's life a little easier. Especially, if it works!
Or, I haven't managed to break it...YET!
Do you have a review blog - or, perhaps found a product (or, service) that you really, really like and you're aching to share with the rest of the blogosphere - then, you may be interested to learn that the Review Bloggers Carnival has come to This Full House!
Clean off a chair and come on in - mi casa, y su casa - as we canvas the blogosphere and share together in the ultimate consumer experience....window shopping!
WHAT'S HOT?
One of the many reasons I love hosting the Review Bloggers Carnival is that it provides me the perfect opportunity to be introduced to some really great websites (and getting to know a little about their owners) and Pajama Mommy is one community that is near and dear to my heart.
I think that perhaps even my kids would agree - everyday SHOULD be declared Work in Your Jammies Day!
Today, Jenny presents Georgie
Designs posted at Pajama Mommy - the necklace, Jenny, is absolutely gorgeous, btw!
BOOKS
One of my personal goals in the coming New Year - besides, learning to delegate more and focusing less on my bad laundry habits - is making time to read at least one book each month and these two reviews on some good reads would be a pretty good start!
My fellow BlogHer, Tali presents Say Hello to the Hot New Role-Model for Young Women- Kim Kiyosaki | BlogHer posted at BlogHer, saying:
"Why Kim Kiyosaki's book, Rich Woman, will change your life."
SJ Yee presents The Knight in Rusty Armor, A story of Social Masks posted at Personal Development for the Book Smart, saying:
"This book is great for anyone seeking clarity in life."
Amen to that!
CONSUMER EXPERIENCES
I have been blessed and feel very privileged to be able to share with you - the great and mighty blogosphere - my family's experiences on products and services we've received in the last 4 months.
As far as customer services goes, it hasn't been a very good year.
Verizon has NOT listened very well and my 8 year-old son refuses to shop at Radio Shack - review on THAT to follow.
Today, Jenny presents The Firetruck Goes VROOM!! and Some Nifty Handbags posted at the so called me.
Dan Johnson presents Blue Cash from American Express Review posted at Credit Cards That Pay, saying:
"We review the Blue Cash Credit Card from American Express."
Aahz presents Is Earthlink Going Downhill? posted at Philaahzophy.
I feel your pain, Philaahzopy!
GOOD THINGS
My husband Garth (not his real name) and I escaped on a Mommy/Daddy play date to North Carolina, this year and visited a local winery, where we had the opportunity to learn a little more about the wine that we do and do NOT like.
I can't remember the name of it - I have four kids, ya' know? - but, Garth (not his real name) suggested I call it, "Stuck Up Winery."
The wine was okay, but the cashier - who was from the South and suggested perhaps acting mean would keep us Northerners, you know, in the North - not so much.
Aahz presents Giving The Gift Of Wine - Monthly : Philaahzophy posted at Philaahzophy, saying:
"Did you know that California’s Zinfandel grape is the same as an indigenous Croatian grape called Crljenak? Well, neither did anyone else until a genetic mapping expert from UC Davis ran genetic tests on them. Until then, people believed that Zinfandel grapes originated around the Adriatic Sea."
No, I did NOT know that - thanks, Philaahzopy - but, then again, that's just me and it's not often I meet a grape that do not like, ;o)
MEDIA
Kevin Fleming presents CyberLin k PowerDVD 7 Review posted at Satellite TV Guru, saying:
"We Review Cyberlink PowerDVD 7 which allows you to watch DVD, Blue-ray and HD DVD movies right on your computer."
Fred Black presents Dust Off Your Tutu! posted at Fred Black: Internet Business Blog., saying:
"Hi; This is an article I posted on my blog about a DVD my wife and I created."
It is the cutest children's video - Fred describes it on his website as "Baby Einsteins meets Barney" - and I love the fact that the DVD is a joint effort between husband and wife.
Dude, he incorporates a shot of her, hugging him, in his masthead!
Garth (not his real name) has often said that he would find it very difficult to work with me and does NOT even allow me to use, you know, his real name.
Visit www.MissKimDance.com and take a look for yourself.
SERVICES
A few years ago, Garth (not his real name) had his identity stolen (twice) and his trust in, well, pretty much anything that involves giving out personal information is suspect to severe scrutiny.
Stupid evil credit thieves messing with a family's savings - or, lack thereof - not only is it against the law, you ALL should be ashamed of yourselves and you should know better!
We do, now.
Henry Bagdasarian presents LifeLock Review? Enrollment, Expectations and Benefits posted at Free Identity Theft Prevention, Detection and Fraud Solutions.

Then, being the wonderful reviewer she is, Tali presents Yaro Starak?s Blog Profit Blueprint Drags The Marketer Review to the Gutter posted at The Marketer Review, saying:
"Why I violated my own rules and bought an information product?"
Tali gave a terrific review that got the author's attention:
Hi Tali,
Great write up, I love your writing style. I love your blog theme - it’s the same one I used when I got started, in fact my current theme is just a modified version of this theme you are using. Thanks so much for the kind words about my Blueprint, I’m glad you found it helpful. I look forward to working with you in Blog Mastermind too!
Yaro
