Welcome to the March 31, 2008 Edition of the Review Bloggers Carnival!

It's no secret. I like getting stuff. I like writing about the stuff that we like and perhaps make my family's life a little easier. Especially, if it works!

Or, I haven't managed to break it...YET!

WHAT'S HOT?

We've already had our first Spring Break - a 3 days off during Easter weekend - short, but sweet and my kids are totally looking forward to having another 3 days off during Passover.

Unfortunately, breaking the vacation up in this way (in my opinion) just doesn't make for very good planning.

Still.

It's never too early to think Summer vacation.  In fact, my husband thinks that it IS probably about time we made some sort of plans.  Yes?

Taking inspiration from our next reviewer, we've added a new category to our ever-expanding list of products to talk about; Goodies for Mom presents two reviews.

First up, Product Review: Angel Baby Products from Earth Mama Angel Baby followed by Product Review: Angel Baby Products from Earth Mama Angel Baby posted at Goodies for Mom (and baby too!).

Aparna presents Dabur Vatika Hair oil: Review posted at Beauty and Personality Grooming, saying:

"I haven’t tried using too many commercially available herbal hair oils partly because I don’t want to end up losing hair by experimenting with unknown products. I don't know about you, but - after the weird winter we've had, here in Jersey  - I could use a little hairpy right about now!

Rachel presents Good Night, Mr, Night Book Review posted at Bakedblog.com (a Mothers blog about baking, cooking, parenting, and enjoying all things in Life) , saying:

Not so much for children, as it is TOTALLY about...you know...raising them, Seabird presents Review: The Dangerous Book for Boys posted at SeaBird Reviews, saying:

Tali presents John Chow - The Dark Side of Making Money Online posted at The Marketer Review, saying:

Tali's has yet another book review for us - really, girl where DO you find the time? - presenting, Jack Humphrey’s Authority Black Book 2008 - Very Necessary posted at The Marketer Review, saying:

FINANCE

I don't know about you guys, but grocery shopping used to be a relaxing little getaway for me.  A time when I could cruise the aisles, not have to answer to anyone and...you know...read, uninterrupted, for a couple of hours.

Holy Hannah Montana - the price of milk and eggs, how they burn my eyes - food shopping just isn't any fun anymore, damnit!

Opening our charge card(s) statement(s) can be downright scary.

GOOD THINGS

I love chocolate; I love people who make chocolate and ESPECIALLY when they send it to bloggers, who...you know...eat it and then review them!

GREEN FINDS

As a contributing blogger to Green Mom Finds, we've been making little changes in purchasing habits at our house.  Trying to, anyway.  Going green doesn't happen overnight - unless, you've had your hair highlighted and decide to take a late night swim in your pool, anyway - but, finding alternative cleaning products is a good start.

MEDIA

Children's television has changed a lot, since I was a kid - anyone even remember The Electric Company? - children seem much more savvy, these days.

Unfortunately, so is the subject matter on some of the programs they "used to" watch.  Until, I put my foot down, blocked a few channels and insisted that they, you know, NOT grow up so fast.
