Kit Kittredge - An American Girl Movie opens in theaters nationwide, today (July 2, 2008) and this is the first feature film based on the hugely popular American Girl book series.
My youngest daughter (she's 7) and I were very excited to have been invited to the New York City screening, last month - you can read our full report and review, here - and she's absolutely thrilled to learn that she could also bring Kit home, with the help of Nintendo!
We are HUGE mystery fans at our house and my kids' love of intrigue transfers to our gaming, as well - seriously, my 14-year-old owns possibly every Nancy Drew pc game there is - so, it's only natural that we accepted THQ's very generous offer to try-out American Girl: Kit Mystery Challenge for Nintendo DS.
I knew, since she really did love the movie, Mini-me would enjoy revisiting the characters and participate in the storyline with a little interactive play, as this game encourages the child to tap into some serious sleuthing skills of her own.
That is to say, as soon as I'm...you know...finished playing with it!
