[This giveaway has ended: WE HAVE OUR WINNER - Congratulations, judy brittle!!!]
It's no secret, I love gadgets -- especially, multi-functional thingamajigs, whose main function is to make my life a little easier -- and I haven't been THIS excited about a product since, well, they invented the ratchet, which makes a wonderful meat tenderizer.
Grocery shopping just got funner (yes, it's a word!) and if you're like me (hate, Hate, HAte, HATe, HATE food shopping) I've found a great gadget to help organize your way into 2009!
The SmartShopper Electronic Grocery List Organizer is an automated grocery/errand organizer that allows you to add items to your shopping list by simply speaking into the device -- okay, so what else does it do?
You can edit and customize your SmartShopper using the easy-to-read LED display and SmartShopper will automatically sort your items alphabetically. Then, when you’re ready to go to the store, the SmartShopper prints your list, organized by categories such as “Fresh Produce”, “Dairy” or “Errands”.
Yes, but does it really work and is it easy to use?
Speaking as a person who has trouble reading directions and having nearly decapitated her husband by hanging a picture frame with toothpaste (read it in a book once; doesn't work) all you have to do is pull it out of the box (there are no connections or software to futz around with) add batteries and you're good to go.
Yeah, it's that easy.
Here's a quick demo of SmartShopper's awesome features:
The SmartShopper is preloaded with a roll of paper (thermal print, no messy ink cartridges required) and a library of over 2,500 grocery items (including office and school supplies) and adding and item is as easy as pushing a button. SmartShopper also comes with a wall mounting kit (if you prefer) but, the unit is magnetized so you can just hang it on the fridge, like I did.
Except, mine looks more like this!
FINAL VERDICT: I used to be really good at keeping lists, until I had kids, then school projects and refrigerator art took over my world. The SmartShopper is easy to use and allows me to keep a list of groceries and errands in one convenient place. It's voice-activated (YAY!) and I can add to my weekly shopping list, as needed or...you know...the moment it pops into my head, fleeting as it is.
Want one?
The good folks at SmartShopper will send one (1) of our lucky readers an electronic grocery list organizer to help you (yes, maybe even YOU!) make grocery shopping fun, again!

I think the SmartShopper sounds like it could even keep my grocery list organized. I always forget something at the store because I either lose the note I jotted it down on, or I think I can remember everything, and then forget half of it. ;)
I'm subscribed to your feed.
Thanks

I so need this! I can't tell you how many times I neglect to write things down and then I have to make multiple trips to the store, which usually ends up costing MORE.
I love how it prints it and but everything in a catagory. That is so cool.
Thanks for the giveaway.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I would love to win this for my father who never uses a grocery list when he shops unless I'm around to help him make one. This looks simple enough that even he could be bothered with it. Maybe it will cut down his grocery store trips from like 4 times a week to 2.

Geez. Technology is great; isn't it? Imagine fifty years ago telling someone about this; they'd think we were nuts.
I'm not nuts, just daft. You know how it is, "I need to remember to put carrots on the list". Forgotten.
What I like is a do hickey like this that actually listens to me!!
T'would be wonderful; thanks for the chance.
Oh. And your fridge? It looks lived in. That other lady's didn't.
