When it comes to games, there are two sides to our household - my 3 girls have always enjoyed dressing up and singing along with their Disney movies, while my son...well, let's just say...last week, when my youngest daughter's godfather suggested that they play Risk, instead, the boy positively squeed with joy!
Then, there are games that are both gender-friendly AND multi-generational.
Calling all Ghost Busters Movie lovers everywhere -- there's a new game in town for the Wii and it's pretty gosh-darned slimey, to boot!
Penned by original Ghostbusters writers and stars Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd, Ghostbusters: The Video Game reunites many of the original cast members including Ramis, Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson.
The game also stars newcomer to the franchise, actress Alyssa Milano as Dr. Peter Venkman’s love interest.
The game is set two years after Ghostbusters II (sadly, not as AWESOME as the original Ghost Busters) with Manhattan once again overrun by ghosts and supernatural forces.
The player joins up as a new recruit with the original team, testing a variety of unique equipment and gadgets (right up my alley, just say'in) to save New York City from its latest paranormal plague.
FINAL VERDICT: According to my 10-year-old son ----> I really love the game. It's fast, the graphics are cool and it really reminds me of the movie, but it gets sort of scary at the end -- a witch pretends to fall in love with this ghost (who was good) and then drags him away, while he clutches onto a corner of the wall, using these scary-looking tentacles.
The video game for the Wii is rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older) just so you know.
