Today, I'm thanking my bloggy-friend Melisa (not a typo, she really does have only one S in her name) Wells!
I first met Melisa (With one S) on Twitter, very early one morning, when I mentioned something about how much I hated "waking up and stepping into a giant hairball one of the cats puked up during the night," and she quickly responded, by adding that, "having to clean up dog puke, first thing in the morning, is..."
Well, you can probably figure out how the rest of the conversation went, from there, right?

Aaaaand, just like that, a life-long friendship was forged...right there...on Twitter...as Melisa is just one of those people that, meeting for the first time, you canNOT help but feel as if you've known her, forever!
Besides writing The Suburban Scrawl and sharing ALL the terrific stuff there is to do see and do in Chicago (like, that bean thingy) she hosts an entertaining little interactive chat show called Suburban WoW (what else?) where she and her equally entertaining co-host, WeaselMama, invite folks to discuss all sorts of fun suburban-like topics, right from The World of Weasles' kitchen!
The really cool part about my friend Melisa (besides the fact that she only has one S in her name and is okay with it) is that she really cares about folks.
Melisa is the first to leave a comment on your blog, or Twitter you if you haven't been around (ahem) and, if that doesn't work, she is even known to call your cell phone (cough) to make sure that everything is okay.
Especially, when there is a bloggy-friend in need (Go Team Piper!) Melisa is right there.
Oh, and she takes really awesome pictures with her trusty, dented, pink duct-taped Olympus Camedia C-60 Zoom (seriously, she is totally committed to that camera!) and, well, THAT pretty much sums up Melisa...in a nutshell.
Thank you Melisa...for making me laugh (when I need to) and for being a good listener (though, my snorts can be deafening) and for inspiring ME to be a better person, by showing me unconditional love, regardless of my faults, like, when I leave my cell phone in the car when you call (okay, I do it ALL the time) but, loving me anyway!
Just like a sistah....from anuthuh muthuh.
