Piccolini® Mini Farfalle with Sausage Peppers and Pecorino
My maternal grandmother passed away on October 10, 2003 (a couple of months after I started my parenting blog, in fact) and -- especially, toward the end of her life -- I would often times take her to the doctor, or the occasional emergency room visit, with all 4 of my kids in tow.
She lived with my parents and they were both still working full-time jobs, at the time.
Still, I know my parents appreciated all the support they could get and programs like Meals on Wheels really helped, too.
Barilla is giving us the chance to Share the Table and fantastic kid-friendly recipes, like Piccolini® Mini Farfalle with Sausage Peppers and Pecorino (pictured above) and give back to people in need!
Because, nice matters and hunger sucks -- here's how it works:
Take a look on Sharethetable.com for real-time tools from Mario Batali, a family therapist, a pediatrician and Martina McBride, along with exclusive Batali dinner recipes, to give people the help they need.
And, for each person who shares their table and downloads Mario's recipes, Barilla will donate $1 to Meals on Wheels to deliver home-cooked meals to home bound seniors.
Because (say it with me) nice matters and hunger sucks!
