Why do office products, like erasable markers and reusable labels, excite me so? Let's do the math:
4 kids x 4 schools = 16 teachers whose names I simply cannot remember!
I face organizational hurdles -- like, finding the right class directory, or next month's girl scout snack list, without having to tear EVERYTHING from off the wall -- every day!
Not to mention, erasing and whiting-out dates, left and right, which simply make our wall calendar look like, well, one big globby mess.
Recently, I received the 3M & Post-It Organzation Kit, my favorites included:
Post-It Super Sticky Removable Color Coded Labels: The seasonal "changing over the drawers" is a nightmare, for me. What fits, what doesn't, whose is it or will it fit their baby sister, next year?
Then, there's the boys stuff.
I sometimes forget to label the boxes, correctly. Okay, I'm confused almost all the time.
These labels are removable, so...yes, I like it.
Post-it Super Sticky Removable Color Coded Dots: (see above) Same goes for our calendar.
I used to use 4 different colored Sharpies, for each kid, but plans sort of change whenever the creeping crud hits the house.
These labels are also removable, so the color-coding helps me identify each kid per event...yes, I've since learned to use pencil.
Post-It Super Sticky Removable Label Pads: (see above) I also work part-time for a women's fitness center and was just promoted to office manager (thanks!) and those added duties start, like, next week.
So, changing over and updating client files will be my first priority.
Using these removable file folder labels in the office means, ultimately, saving a little more money for my boss = more funds available for my paycheck, right?
[sound of crickets chirping]
Riiiight.
Bottom Line: Getting organized doesn't happen overnight (heaven knows, I know) but, I really like the idea of using removable labels. In my opinion, investing in more non-permanent stuff (like this) helps habitually unorganized folks (like me) find ways to save a little time, money and, ultimately, poor more money in my children's pockets -- which, I also forget to check before throwing in the laundry -- dangit!
Oh, and for those of you who are, you know, up to speed on your filing and stuff [cough-cough-freak-cough] 3M makes new permanent stuff, too.
