Sadly, I wasn't able to attend Toy Fair 2010 (stupid, work!) however, a lot of my friends did (DAMMIT!) and I hear that Child's Play Communications (my Team Mom buds) presented a terrific social media panel, during the event.
Why is this important?
Well, having received email pitches addressed from "Intern 6" and "Assistant #3" this week, it's obvious that some companies STILL don't get it.
What?
That moms (and dads) are NOT stupid and really do a lot of research (on line and word-of-mouth) before they buy stuff, for their families!
Still, it was like I was there (almost) because, Jen from Ren Beanie sent us a BamBoo Bear and, well, who new that bamboo could be made to look like fur?
A little more about BamBoo Bears from Planet Fred:
Each bear’s fur is 70% natural bamboo and 30% organic cotton fleece. The ears, feet, paw pads and tail are made of 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton. All materials are dyed with low-impact, cold water dyes....the bear’s stuffing is made from renewable, hypoallergenic corn-based fiber.
Cute, right, but is it soft?
O...M...G...yes and I really wish I could show you, but my youngest (she's 8) squee'd when she got the blue one (next to black, it's her favorite color, don't ask!) and hid it, in her room, real good.
[sound of crickets chirping]
Did I mention, her bedroom IS a mess and she shares it with 2 older sisters? Don't believe me?
Check out this week's Love Thursday video and take a real close look; you'll see!
