It's FINALLY here -- so, what's up with Do Good Day?
The brainchild of TheMotherhood.com, bloggers from all over the country are participating TODAY by doing good in their local communities in all sorts of pay-it-forward kinds of ways.
You can visit http://www.themotherhood.com/circle/show/id/62021 and I guarantee that you WILL be amazed at how 77 bloggers in 11 cities have planned (REAL HARD) to spend their day in do goodery!
How do I know?
'Cawse, I'm one of them and the kids and I are SO excited to be heading out to the Garden State Discovery Museum and present families (like ours) an opportunity to take a few moments, fill out a post card, or draw a picture (for the little ones) and thank a soldier and/or veteran, via http://www.opgratitude.com/ and taking inspiration from the Operation Gratitude Card Collection.
After I wake the kids, of course -- want to help?
No, not wake my kids (I don't want to, either, trust me) I mean, would you like to help celebrate Do Good Day? How, where and how much will it cost you?
Here are 7 good deeds to do, anywhere, anytime and totally for FREE:
1. Open the door for someone, offer up a seat, let them go in front of you.
2. Sweep off (rake, shovel) the whole sidewalk.
3. Smile at people you pass by.
4. Offer a free car wash to your neighbor.
5. Leave a note of support or appreciation for someone who could use it.
6. Visit with someone you know who is in a nursing home.
7. Tell the people closest to you (especially, your kids!) why you love them.
Happy Do Good Day, everyone!
