Today, I bid farewell to a school chum on my home blog and, well, it was a very difficult and painful post to write.
Sharing ways in which we can help two of my online friends "eat away at breast cancer," not so much.
In fact, being able to contribute to blogging projects (like, Saving Second Base) by helping to bring awareness on important issues (like, cancer sucks!) that may be relevant to other families (like mine) feels REAL good, too!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and, in honor and remembrance of the brave battles being fought by way too many of my family and friends (DAMMIT!) I will be running a series of posts, every Monday, from now until the end of October, of ways in which we can each help (small as it may seem) in the fight against breast cancer.
Why?
Because, cancer needs a good old fashioned virtual bitch-slap!
Kicking it off, this week, Snapfish.com will be offering the following in October:
- Customized products including cards, calendars, notebooks, notepads and more available for purchase at the Pink Gives Store, where 30% of all proceeds from the sales will go directly to BreastCancer.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the most up-to-date, reliable, medically reviewed information on breast health and breast cancer to help those affected by breast cancer make the best decisions for their lives.
- A FREE set of address labels if you spend $10 on Pink Gives products through October 31, 2010
- Customers who order photo calendars will receive 3 sets of self-exam reminder stickers – one for themselves and two for women they love!
- Customers can simply use promotional code PINKGIVES during checkout.
[Note: Items are while supplies last - please remember to check with SnapFish.com for availability.]
- Snapfish will also host a #gno Twitter party (@ snapfishbyhp) with Mom it Forward on Tuesday, September 28 from 9-11 p.m. ET.
So, until next week, thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to visit -- click here to check out some of our other favorite stuff we're sharing (when you have time, of course) -- oh, aaaand consider yourself bitch-slapped, STUPID CANCER!!!
