Tomorrow is the first day of school (for 3 out of 4 of my kids, anyway) and I am looking forward to getting back to a normal, school day, schedule.
Keeping track of ALL the paperwork coming home, from 4 different schools, not so much!!!
So, when the good folks representing DYMO contacted me about trying out their LabelManager 260P hand held label maker (pictured above) I was all, like, yes, please!
Powered by a lithium-ion battery (the same technology used to power cell phones and laptop computers) the DYMO LabelManager 260P label maker helps eliminate the added need for keeping any more AA batteries in the house (YAY!)
Why?
I can charge the unit (just like a laptop) and start labeling well, anything and everything that I can, you know, stick a label on, really.
Want to see?
Additional features for the LabelManager 260P are:
- Prints professional quality labels on 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” easy-peel split-back DYMO D1 labels
- Includes separate set of keys for numbers, allowing for faster typing
- Features quick access buttons for punctuation and symbols
- Allows user to customize labels and add emphasis with three fonts, six font sizes, seven text styles, boxes and underlining
- Stores up to nine labels and is capable of inserting saved text
- Prints up to 10 copies of one label
- Sleek, compact and lightweight design, allowing for fast, uninterrupted labeling whether in the office or on-the-go
It took a few minutes to familiarize myself with the keyboard (keys run from left to right and, well, I hunt and peck on my cell phone, too) but, once in the unit's menu, it was pretty easy (YAY!)
The letters printed crisp and clear (can't tell by my cell phone pic, camera's STILL broken, sorry!) and I had a little fun with outlining the letters.
We labeled my youngest girl's notebooks and folders (she's 9) and, even with pulling it in and out of her backpack to show her aunt, grandparents, friends, etc... the label hasn't curled, yet (YAY!)
Then, she finished the map, outlining her summer reading project...what?...you didn't think she meant MY house, did you? Never mind. You really don't have to answer that.
FINAL VERDICT: The DYMO LabelManager 260P label maker prints a surprisingly crisp, clear label and I like the fact that it allows me to play with fonts, as well. I also like the convenience of a handheld, portable label maker and I do NOT need to boot up a computer, hunt for printer labels, or batteries is an added plus when helping to get this house organized...one day...hopefully, some time soon!
