October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and, in honor of the brave battles being fought by way too many of my family and friends, I have the extreme privilege of partnering with Eggland's Best in helping to spread awareness of their support of The Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Why?
Contributing to blogging projects (like, Saving Second Base) that help bring awareness to important issues and sharing relevant information with other families (like mine) feels REAL good, too!
As well as displaying Komen for the Cure’s running ribbon logo (along with a pink version of the “EB” stamp) on select egg varieties, Eggland’s Best will donate $50,000 to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure in its promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever.
Every 69 seconds, a woman dies of breast cancer....globally!
Today, I'm helping to give cancer a virtual kick in the pants by celebrating Susan G. Komen's Viral Day (don't worry, it is catchy, in a GOOD way):
- The objective with this event is to turn the virtual world pink!
- Help fight breast cancer by visiting 69-seconds.org
- Change your Twitter or Facebook status to: “Take 69 seconds to fight breast cancer at http://www.69-seconds.org/”
- Blog using #fightbreastcancer in as many posts pertaining to breast cancer, and share.
Got 69 seconds? 'Cause, it's about ALL you need to help turn our world a little pinker.
Why?Say it with me...because, nice matters and cancer sucks wet poodle!
