Raising 4 kids, I spend A LOT of time back-to-school shopping (i.e. hunting through dozens of clearance racks, comparing price tags and debating the definition of "school clothes" with my husband) did I mention, we have 3 girls?
I've been putting off back-to-school shopping for the boy (he's 11) because, well, he's become even pickier than the girls (darnit!) and here in Jersey, you can actually wear shorts to school...up until mid-October...sometimes.
Until, the very generous folks at JCPenney.com offered to help, by sending us a $150.00 gift card to splurge on some MUCH needed back-to-school clothes for my son.
Did I mention, they are giving us a chance to share the experience with you (yes, maybe even YOU!) wanna see?
Glen and I hit JCPenney at Freehold Mall (HARD!) this passed weekend and, I have to admit, it was really nice to have him be able to pick out his own clothes, for once.
Still, old habits are hard to break. I was THRILLED to find that almost everything he liked was actually on sale and/or 50% off the regular price!
I am already a big fan of the Arizona brand of clothing offered at JCPenney (the flannel shirt was $8.99) and the Uproar brand of Skinny Jeans seemed like a pretty good fit, too (priced at $19.99!) so, I threw in that fleece hoodie (on sale $23.99) just because, you know, I happen to think my boy looks good in plaid!
We had GREAT luck (seriously, JCPenney really does have a terrific selection of back-to-school clothes in their boy's department) and it was a really fun shopping trip, too!
Glen walked away with 3 pairs of Uproar jeans, 1 long-sleeved flannel (on sale for $8.99) and 2 short-sleeved button-front Arizona shirts (on sale for $6.99) 5 vintage Arizona long-sleeved t-shirts (on sale for $9.99) an Uproar Henley, and a plaid fleece hoodie.
Aaaand, he picked them ALL by himself (mostly!)
