COMMENTS ARE CLOSED: So, glad to be able to share this with Janette (comment #58) please check your email for further instructions!!!
My middle girl (she's 14) is a freshman and studying digital animation in a school specializing in communications, graphic design and media.
Much to the chagrin of her 16 year-old sister, who also applied to the same high school and well, let's just say that I have 4 kids, attending 4 different schools...AGAIN...this year!
So, as Stop #10 in the Klutz Book of Animation Blog Tour, I am very excited to tell you that anybody with a computer, camera, internet connection and a little bit of creativity can create animated films.
The Klutz Book of Animation is a how-to-guide with step-by-step instructions that show you how to create a variety of different classic stop motion special effects and make a movie of your own.
We did -- want to see?
First, here's a special little movie Klutz sent us to share with our online friends:
How cool is that, right? Now, it's OUR turn!
Okay, perhaps that was the shortest, short film you will see on this blog tour...or, ever...still, the slightly neurotic banana was my kids' idea. Very clever, right? Not sure what the red stripes are all about. Then again, who am I to question art?
We took 7 pictures with my cell phone (because, my camera is STILL broken) and used SAM Animation (the software recommended by the Klutz book) to put it all together, adjust the speed, add sound and finally edit our very own shortest, short animated film, featuring the very last banana in the house!
Sam Animation is a FREE download in demo mode.
The opportunity to make a little movie magic with my kids (and a banana) PRICELESS!!!
Next up on the Klutz Book of Animation Blog Tour is The Mommy-Files-- so, be sure to stop by her place on Monday, October 4th to check another fun giveaway & video feature!
Now, it's YOUR turn!
The good folks representing Klutz (heh!) have offered to send one (1) of our online friends a fun Klutz Animation Prize Pack, including: a copy of The Klutz Book of Animation, as well as Eye Find, Foam Rockets, and Clothespin Cars!
[Retail Price: $79.80]
Because, we roll like that!
GET IT HERE: To enter, please leave a comment, like, an alternate title for Hopey's shortest, short film (Me? Who Put the Banana in the Cookie Jar?) along with a valid email address on this post by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8th and you're automatically entered to win. One (1) winner will be picked (via random.org) and announced via email and posted on My Prizey Giveaways Page!
