California Raisin Spooky Spider Recipe
Apple picking, baking, pumpkin picking, and then even MORE baking (makes the house smell SO good, right?) my family and I love this time of year!!!
As my kids grow older and their schedules get, you know, a little crazier (seriously, it does NOT get any easier) we look forward to weekends when we can spend a little more time, outdoors and then snuggling on the couch, after trying out some new recipes, together!
This week, I'm throwing a Virtual Halloween Party and you (yes, YOU!) are invited.
Check out Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5 for a chance at some pretty awesome door prizes!
Today, we're sharing my favorite NO BAKE recipe (honestly, sometimes you just need something QUICK!) for a healthier Halloween snack (that tastes good, too!) courtesy of the good folks at California Raisins.
Aaaand (along with these bloggers) sharing a little something, something, ALL WEEK, with online friends, courtesy of Nestle Family.
My youngest (she's 9) and I tried making these spooky spiders last year and, quite frankly, I had my doubts about convincing Hope (a.k.a. resident chocoholic) that crispy brown rice cereal could, you know, taste good, too.
It was quick, easy and yes, those crunchy little spiders tasted REAL good!
Like with most holidays at our house, surviving Halloween is all about moderation and, well, I hope that sharing this recipe helps to strike a better balance at your house, too.
If you're looking for ideas on fun Halloween kid's treat (keyword: treat) Nestle Toll House is running a contest on their facebook page and asking their readers to share their favorite Spooktacular Baking Ideas.
