Today's theme is all about throwing ghoulishly easy and fun celebrations (the easier, the funner!) so, here's my favorite low-tech party game I played with the kids as their class mom during the holidays called The Gross-Out Game!
Sit in a circle, someone starts by saying, "For Halloween dinner, my mom made me..." and each kid add's the grossest thing they can think of to the menu, "...grasshopper spit!"
Warning: The menu can get pretty gross and you'd be surprised to learn just how much information a kid can retain...when it's something really, really gross.
It's the perfect ice-breaker, no batteries required and The Gross-Out Game can be quickly adapted for any holiday (you're welcome!)
Speaking of ice, I've also got an easy-peasy party punch recipe to serve with floating hands made of frozen water and everything.
Beeeecause, The Gross-Out Game makes kids pretty thirsty!
Bone Chillin' Brew
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 0 minutesWhat you need:
- 3 cups of water
- 3 clear plastic gloves
- 3 rubber bands or twist ties
- 2 bottles (64 fl. oz. each) of Punch Flavor NESTLÉ JUICY JUICE All Natural 100% Juice, chilled
- 1 can (12 fl. oz.) of frozen lemonade concentrate, slightly thawed
- 4 cans (12 fl. oz. each) of lemon-lime soda, chilled
How to do it:
FOR FLOATING HANDS - pour water into gloves, adding enough water to fill the gloves loosely but not so full that the fingers will not move. Fasten gloves with rubber bands or twist ties. Line baking sheet with paper towels. Place filled gloves on paper towels. Freeze for 3 hours or until firm.
FOR PUNCH - combine Juicy Juice and lemonade concentrate in large punch bowl. Gradually stir in soda. Carefully cut gloves off hands with scissors. Float hands in punch.
