My youngest is heading into 5th grade, this year (how did THAT happen?!?)
In all the hub-bub of experiencing one of the biggest storms to hit the New Jersey coastline in recent memory (seriously, we're still rebooting) ALL 4 of my kids and I are actually looking forward to starting school, tomorrow (FTW!)
All of those science projects, reports and requests for craft supplies coming home...not so much.
Truth be told, with 4 kids, attending 4 different schools (last year this happens, btw, YAY!) I found myself hard-pressed to be all, you know, crafty (oh, I used to be) so, we use A LOT of tape.
Still, in our family's never-ending effort to be less wasteful, I was SO HAPPY to learn that the Scotch brand has created the more environmentally friendly Scotch Magic Greener Tape and received an awesome sampling of their products:
- Their new Scotch Magic Greener Tape (including refillable dispenser, packaging and tape) is made from more than 75% renewable or recycled materials, including a plant-based adhesive.
- The boxed refill roll, including packaging, is made from more than 65 percent recycled or plant-based materials.
The Scotch Pop-Up Tape Deskgrip Dispenser a has soft rubber base that grips onto smooth horizontal surfaces without adhesive: so that even a klutz (like me) can use it wherever I happen to set up shop, at the moment (desk, counter top, kitchen table) and, since the tape is already pre-cut into 2 inch strips, I believe this is absolutely a fantastically easy/less wasteful way to wrap gifts.
There is also a One-Handed Dispenser that parents, teachers and students can use to neatly and quickly apply tape at the precise length needed: you know what, a basket of school supplies makes for a great teacher's gift, don't you think?
