My kids have been tag-teaming each other and burning through their sick days at school, which means I've had someone home, every week, since Christmas.
What? You, too? I know. Is it spring, yet?
We received a sample of the NEW Lysol No-Touch Kitchen System officially launched in January: it's an automatic "hands-free" dispenser and multi-purpose cleaner.
Seeing as our dishwasher isn't working (service people coming out next week) that's a good thing -- that it cleans dishes, too -- not that our dishwasher is broken, but I bet you knew what I meant, right?
SO, HOW'S IT WORKING FOR US: Our workspace is very limited and with our dishwasher not working the usable surface area of our small-ish double-sink is even more confined. I appreciate the fact that this is an all-in-one cleaning system (washes dishes, counters and hands) cutting down the need to store multiple products.
BUT, HERE'S THE THING: I purchased a similar system (also made by Lysol) as a hand cleaner for the bathroom, however, that particular unit is more sensitive, for some reason, and automatically dispenses the product if accidentally knocked or brushed against. It does has shut-off valve on the back of the unit, however, it sort of defeats the purpose of not having to, you know, touch it.
The Lysol No-Touch Kitchen System doesn't seem to be as sensitive and, in my opinion, the less frustrating a product is to use, the better. It also has a shut-off button on the back of the unit, just so you know.
FINAL VERDICT: I do intend on continuing to use this product and appreciate that the refills are available in a lemon and berry scent -- I'm not very fond of the tangerine, but that's just me.
RETAIL PRICE: The starter kit retails at $11.99 nationwide.
