I was unable to attend the Havaianas' 2012 Collection Preview Event in NYC on March 27th (dagnabit!) still, the awesome folks representing the brand are well aware of the fact that we are a family of flip flop enthusiasts.
We live on the Jersey shore, enough said.

Havaianas (takes their name from the Portuguese word for “Hawaiians”) are known for their flip flops.
I was also sent an awesome pair of espadrilles from Havaianas' new Soul Collection of unisex closed toe footwear also featured as a spring/summer trend for 2012 by Elle Magazine:

I received a pair of these cute espadrilles, with the original Havaianas sole, which were constructed to feel as if you are walking on a flip-flop and, in my opinion, would be perfect for those days when you are:
- Strolling along the boardwalk or taking the kids to the amusement park
- Meeting up for a quick bite to eat or a cup of coffee lakeside with friends
- Waiting for the weather to warm up long enough to open and/or actually go swimming in your pool (see picture above...also, brrrrrrr!)
- Or, just too gosh-darned busy (or, broke from one too many trips to the amusement park) to make that appointment for a pedicure (dagnabit!)
FINAL VERDICT: Flip flops are awesome (I know, got a couple of pairs my ownself) however, sometimes you just need a little something more. These stylish, lightweight and super-comfortable espadrilles are the perfect fit for the spring, summer or right into October...as long as the weather stays above 50 degrees...whichever comes first ;)
