Glamour Reel Moments: Just Another Mom's View from the Red Carpet! - Day 2

See what happens, when Mom Bloggers hit Hollywood - be afraid, be very, very afraid! Suave invited me to attend the 2008 Glamour Reel Moments film festival, last week (I do NOT know how that happened, either) hosted by Glamour Magazine. You see, the magazine holds a contest (three years, now) where readers submit their stories and then famous actresses pick their favorite idea and make it into a short film. Day 1 was fun - seriously, I love meeting new blogging buddies - but, it was Day 2 that really brought us together, some for the first time, as... Read more →

Glamour Reel Moments: When Bloggers Unite - Day 1

Bloggers invited to the premier of Glamour Reel Moments (left to right) Cindy (Hello Dollface!), Nadine (Jolie Nadine), Amy (Mom Advice), Michelle (Scribbit), Dawn (Because, I Said So), Lianne (The Makeup Girl), Liz (This Full House) and Beth (Role Mommy)! Suave invited me to attend the 2008 Glamour Reel Moments film festival, this week (I do NOT know how that happened, either) hosted by Glamour Magazine. You see, the magazine holds a contest (three years, now) where readers submit their stories and then famous actresses pick their favorite idea and make it into a short film. Why? There's a shortage... Read more →

Nearly Wordless Wednesday: Can You Tell Me Why It Still Fits?

My two oldest daughters (they're 12 and 14) sent me this via You Tube. You see, this kid (Declan Galbraith) is nearly 17 now and the song still fits. Don't worry, I can't seem to find the right words, or have an answer for my kids, either. Just, WOW! When A Mommyblogger Goes Hollywood, Puke Happens, No Doubt!

Remember when I told you about how excited I am to have been invited to this really cool thing in Hollywood (yeah, like, in 3,000 bazillion miles away from Jersey) and then the little black dress that my dear sweet husband ordered me didn't fit (stupid breasts, dumb leftover baby bumps!) but, then I found an even prettier dress that actually fit "a real woman" with, you know, bumps and boobs, for under $100 and one that even a plain-old Jersey mom (like me) could wear to a swanky-like Hollywood event and STILL feel pretty!?!? [takes deep breath] Well, I'm... Read more →

Go Pink with Let's Dish: Helping families cope and kick cancer's ass, for real!

Okay, I know what you're thinking - seriously, what's up with all the pink ribbons this month - but, what if I told you that (this time) I heard about this pretty cool food website called Let's Dish and their campaign to do something, you know, real to help families affected by breast cancer? Aaaand, you don't have to buy, collect, or lick anything. It's called the Pink Dish! Campaign and (as a blogger, suffering from the overuse of exclamation points!!!) I'm very excited to tell you that there are OTHER ways in which you can show your support for... Read more →

Nearly Wordless Wednesday: In Hindsight

Like my new glasses? The store manager picked these out, for me. Bit more than I wanted to pay, really. She DID say they have the power of making even a mom (like me) look prettiful. Now that I think on it, she probably DOES get paid on commission. Check out the Official Wordless Wednesday HQ Tag, you're it: Wordless Wednesday ------------------------------------------------------------- World Egg Day Recipe Extravaganza: I'm joining The Parent Bloggers Network, today and sharing with you (yes, YOU!) one of my Hungarian mother's most awesomest recipes, ever! © 2008 This Full House - All Rights Reserved. The Sisterhood of Our BlubHer Overhaul

Looking over my publishing calendar (I know, I know, what's a mommy like me doing writing about important stuff, anyway?) I can't believe that I never blogged about this. I mean, there's this cute little button publishing on my sidebar for weeks that leads to Our BlubHer Overhaul. What? A few of us gals decided to get together and do a bloggy support group for weight loss. Each of us has our own agenda - mine is to feel more confident about myself and look a little less like, you know, a deer in headlights at BlogHer 2009 - but,... Read more →
