Luck Be a Cup of Coffee, Tonight!

22 days into NaBloPoMo and, well, NOW I remember why I have never NaBloPoMo-ed before.

This blogging every day thing is hard, man (for me, anyways) however, it's been a great writing exercise (so far) especially, this time of year, when my head could always do with a good, you know, brain dump-ing.

You're welcome!

Aaaaaanyway, the cool thing about NaBloPoMo-ing is that there are daily prompts to help get my blogging juices going.

Today's prompt:  What is the luckiest thing that has ever happened to you and why?

Having been raised in a very superstitious household - where spilled salt and broken mirrors were considered unfavorable signs of bad things to come - and being a very clumsy child, I was a cause of deep concern for my family (still am) and often times I found myself the subject to one of my grandmother's homemade remedies, or lucky charms.

Did they work?

Depends on who you ask and what time of the day it is.

Like, going to bed, believing that I cannot possibly be anymore tired at that very moment, only to prove myself wrong the following day.

Then again, waking up, with all my body parts STILL intact, for me, is an automatic win.

"Sorry, I slept through the alarm."

My husband, Garth (NHRN) on the other hand, is an early riser in the most annoying way possible.

"That's okay, I packed the kids lunches."

Okay, so, today, he was a little less annoying.

"Changed the dishwasher, too."

The luckiest thing that has ever happened to me:  I got this one, Garth (NHRN) that was easy.

Then again, my grandmother foretold I would, you know, marry well.

"Here's your coffee."

Enough said.
