Reason #21,123,166 Why I Would Be an Epic #FAIL on Fear Factor

14 days into NaBloPoMo and, well, NOW I remember why I have never NaBloPoMo-ed before.

This blogging every day thing is hard, man (for me, anyways) however, it's been a great writing exercise (so far) especially, this time of year, when my head could always do with a good, you know, brain dump-ing.

You're welcome!

Aaaaaanyway, the cool thing about NaBloPoMo-ing is that there are daily prompts to help get my blogging juices going.

Today's prompt is a guest post by Ricki Lake:

I was terrified to go on DWTS, but facing my fear and overcoming it has been an incredible experience. Have you faced fears and overcome them?

Pilgrim TowerYes, even my youngest (who was 8 at the time this picture was taken) could probably rip me a new one on Fear Factor!

I have a terrible fear of heights (acrophobics unite!) and could only make it halfway up the Pilgrim Tower (that's about 100 feet) before, pushing some little kids out of the way.

Relax, they backed up against the wall to let me pass and were fine.

While I hugged the wall and carefully made my way back down the horrifically narrow spiral staircase hollering, "I THINK I'M GONNA THROW UP!"

Hence, little kids, backing way the heck up and letting the crazy, puking lady pass.

Even my husband, Garth (NHRN) openly made fun of me at the Air and Space Museum in Norfolk, Virginia, after I refused to cross the plexiglass platform, behind my children.

Beeeeecause, I could see the floor and would probably fall, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to the bottom, a whole lot faster than they would.

Enough is enough, yes?

So, right here, right now, I resolve to face my fear of heights in the BIGGEST way I know how.

Melisa Wells Skydeck Ambassador ExtraordinareBy promising to meet my friend, Melisa (with one S) on the 103rd floor of the Skydeck in Chicago during #BBSummit12 next summer.

GULP!

That's 1,353 feet in the air, extended 4.3 feet into nowhere, enough said.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and throw up a little.
