Tell Us Which City's Shelter Dogs to Feed Next

PEDIGREE CTNC Blog Post: This post is sponsored by PEDIGREE Brand, which compensated me to develop this content and reader giveaway.

I wanted to share a quick update with you on the special feeding project I've been working on with Pedigree and Miranda Lambert (love her)!

With your help, Pedigree has received more than 14,000 nominations, from all over the country, for their Choose the Next Communities program:  a new initiative to feed more shelter dogs while they wait adoption.

The top five finalists are in and now we get to tell Pedigree which city's shelter dogs to feed next.  I am also excited to be able to share a special gift basket with one of you and your bdf:  best dogfriend forever.

First, the top five community shelters include:

Pedigree Feeding Project Finalists
Wausau, WI ~ Jackson, MS ~ Jacksonville, FL ~ Erie, PA ~ Metro Detroit/Metro ~ Flint, MI

I met up with Miranda Lambert, while she was filming the following psa, at the Humane Association in Nashville.  Here, she's very excited to be able to share information about the top five finalists:

Miranda adopted all 6 of her fur babies, jokingly admitting that her husband (country music star Blake Shelton) is half-expecting her to come home with yet another stray, but assured us that Blake is behind her efforts 100%, as Miranda is also very passionate about helping shelter dogs increase their chances of finding their forever families.

Now, it's our turn to help:  tell Pedigree where you believe the feeding program can make the most difference in the lives of shelter dogs.

How?  It's real simple, promise:

Visit the Peedigree Feeding Project on Facebook, click on the map icons to learn more about the five communities and then cast your final vote.

As a thank you, the good folks at Pedigree have offered to send one (1) of our online friends a basket of goodies to share with your bdf.  Check it out, Doofus-Dawg LOVES his new doggie-woobie:

Rudolph (it's Doofus-Dawg's real name, btw) says thank you :) I often write about having a REAL special place in my heart for animal shelters and rescues (like our Doofus-Dawg) so I am more than happy to help share this awesome basket of goodies, courtesy of the Pedigree Foundation, including:

Pedigree Ambassador Basket Photo_3.28

Disclosure:   I am very honored to partner with Pedigree in support of their efforts in helping to feed shelter dogs (like mine!)  The expenses for my trip to Nashville were covered and I am being compensated for my services for the length of the program.   As always, all opinions are my own.
