Don't Mess With Mother Nature, She Probably Has Teens

The kids have been on spring break since Friday and, since my oldest is scheduled to work this week/weekend and needs the car to, you know, get there (it's about a 30 minute ride down the Parkway, in Jersey speak) we're pretty much rooted close to home. By yesterday afternoon 2 out of 4 of them weren't speaking to each other (because, girls are pretty much women in training, just so you know) the boy and I needed some fresh air. Also, the roast had about another hour left. So, we took Doofus-dawg for a quick walk before dinner. It... Read more →

Nearly Wordless Wednesday: You Know You're a Blogger, When...

A Pear of Hearts After finishing perhaps the juiciest pear on the planet (seriously, you SHOULD be salivating) when one of your kids walks by, looks down at your plate and hollers: "DON'T MOVE!!!" Wordless Wednesday: Kiss Me

I just love capturing really awesome moments like this (unedited) and surprising the heck out of myself, for remembering to take off the lens cover, even, you know? Times I Wish Photogenicism Was Hereditary

I was going through my Picasa albums in an attempt to segregate my photos from those my middle girl took, considering Heather's pictures are waaaaaaaay better than mine (DAGNABIT!) they just might give her digital cooties, or something. I noticed something. Hope is my youngest and, at the risk of sounding all, you know, weirdish (YES, it's a word!) I swear, this child is photogenically gifted. Winter, spring, fall, miffed at her oldest sister knocking her disk into oblivion while playing shuffle board (she looks totally like her father in that one!) seriously, you can NOT take a bad picture...
